Ham and Cheese Toast

Salty ham and gooey cheese combine beautifully with perfectly grilled, tender-crisp toast. The tanginess of whole grain mustard and the sweetness of onion make this dish extra delicious.

Ingredients

Serves 2

2 slices, sandwich bread
1.8 oz(3 or 4 slices), sliced ham
¼ small onion
2.1 oz(½ cup), grated cheese (pizza type)
2 tablespoons, whole grain mustard
Black pepper

*Recommended thickness of the bread: about ½ inch(1.5 cm) thick.

Ready in 10 min

  • Cut the onion into thin slices.
  • Spread mustard on one side of each bread slice.
  • One by one, add sliced ham, onion, and cheese in order.
  • Grill (3) in the toaster on pizza mode for 4 to 5 minutes, or until browned.
  • Remove from the toaster and sprinkle black pepper.
